Lutfi Zayed
Lutfi Zayed is the co-founder and Art Director of ADAM WA MISHMISH, and the visual mind behind the entire ADAM WA MISHMISH universe — its characters, its world, its illustration style, its animation direction, and its consistent visual identity across every format the brand has ever produced. From the very first episode, “The Alphabet Song,” Lutfi has shaped the look that has become instantly recognisable to over a million YouTube subscribers and to children across the Arab world. An accomplished illustrator and comic artist based in Amman, Lutfi brings a graphic-novel sensibility and a distinct aesthetic vision to children’s educational content — an unusual combination that has helped ADAM WA MISHMISH stand apart in a category dominated by translated and licensed Western IP. A long-time friend of the founding family before he became a co-founder, Lutfi leads the art team across every one of the brand’s formats: animation, books, the mobile app, theatrical productions, and merchandise.
Most notably, Lutfi published his first solo graphic novel, 485 FRAMES, in 2019, and has exhibited at festivals and exhibitions across the region. As Art Director of ADAM WA MISHMISH, he has overseen the visual production of 15 seasons of original animation, the brand’s full book series published by DAR AL-SALWA,, and the character design and staging for the brand’s recurring live productions at EXPO 2020 DUBAI, ITHRA, the ABU DHABI INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR, and CHILDREN’S MUSEUM JORDAN. He shares in the company’s 2025 KING ABDULLAH II ORDER OF DISTINCTION in recognition of ADAM WA MISHMISH’s contribution to Arabic-language education.
